Company News | [Safety Special] “Party Building Leads, Safety Comes First”—CIMC Zhangzhou Holds the 2026 “Safety 100” Party Building Joint Initiative Event

This “Party Building Leads, Safety Comes First” — 2026 “Safety 100” themed event is an important practical step taken by Zhangzhou CIMC to advance the “Party Building + Safety” model. Through carefully designed, ceremoniously structured activities, the concept of “safety first” is being guided from mere publicity into genuine internal commitment.

On the morning of February 27, Zhangzhou CIMC held the “Party Building Leads, Safety Comes First”—2026 “Safety 100” Party Building Joint Initiative event. More than 1,300 participants, including Ding Weiwei, Secretary of the company’s Party branch and General Manager, Zhang Baoku, Deputy General Manager, and all employees and Party members, attended the event to jointly kick off a new chapter in annual safe production.

Strengthen responsibility and ensure effective implementation, using the “red of Party building” to illuminate “Safety 100.”

This event is centered around the theme of “Party building leading the way,” organically integrating safe production with Party-building work. Through a dual approach—ceremonial education and the effective implementation of responsibilities—it aims to foster a safety culture that engages all employees and promotes continuous improvement.

First, Zhang Yunyong, Secretary-General of the company’s HSE Committee, delivered a mobilization speech for the “Safety 100” campaign. In his speech, he explained the significance of the Group and company’s “Safety 100” initiative and outlined this year’s key arrangements, urging everyone to refocus and get back on track. He then emphasized that, in 2026, given the company’s rapidly evolving business landscape with numerous new models and business changes, the Secretariat Office will continue to implement risk identification and control measures, strengthen safety planning and management, reduce sources of danger, and enhance the inherent level of safety. Finally, he issued three key initiatives and requirements: reinforcing the safety responsibility system and ensuring its effective implementation; encouraging Party members and cadres to take the lead by going deeper into the frontline to strengthen on-site management of emerging risks; and improving employees’ safety awareness and competence.

Subsequently, Zhang Baoku, Deputy General Manager of the company, and Zhang Yunyong, Secretary-General of the HSE Committee, presented awards—“Outstanding Team of the Year” and “Outstanding Individual of the Year”—to the teams and individuals who demonstrated exceptional performance in safety, quality, and other areas in 2025. By recognizing these exemplary role models and showcasing their achievements, the company aims to inspire all employees to benchmark against them, learn from their examples, and strive for common progress.

Ding Weiwei, Secretary of the company’s Party branch and General Manager, delivered a New Year’s address and outlined the HSE work plan for 2026. All business development must be predicated on safety. He put forward four key requirements for the year’s safety efforts:

First, strengthen political guidance. Party members in the company should embody the sense of responsibility—“As a Party member, safety is my duty”—and play a leading and exemplary role, set an example through their actions, and serve as a vigilant oversight presence in safe production, thereby motivating all employees to actively participate in safety management.

Second, implement the “dual responsibility for each post.” We must firmly assign safety responsibilities at all levels—down to the team and individual work stations—and adhere to the principle that “managing business means managing safety.” On-site management personnel must integrate safety awareness into every aspect of daily production management. At the same time, every employee must enhance their self-protection awareness and capabilities, hold a deep respect for safety regulations, and strictly comply with the Group’s Twelve Major Prohibitions on Production Safety.

Third, continue to carry out hazard mitigation efforts. Continuously reduce sources of danger and enhance the inherent safety level at the worksite, with a particular focus on implementing improvements to the pull-box approach.

Fourth, strengthen management of change-point safety. As box-type configurations change dramatically, product transitions become frequent, and specialized tooling and fixtures increase in number, business complexity is rising sharply, posing significant challenges to safety management. We must proactively adapt to these changes by promptly innovating our management approaches, enhancing our risk identification capabilities, and refining our response mechanisms. This will enable us to quickly boost our awareness and capacity for managing safety at changing points, thereby effectively addressing the increasingly complex HSE management challenges posed by these evolving dynamics.

Party members take the lead by example, and safety concepts resonate deeply with everyone.

The event conveys safety concepts through a series of carefully designed segments:

    1. Pass through the “security gate”

“Safety is the gateway to all work.” Under the leadership of the management team and Party members, employees passed through the archway in an orderly manner, symbolizing the integration of the “safety first” philosophy into their workplaces.

    2. Receive the “Safety Card”

The company’s management department, Party member safety pioneers, and frontline cadres distributed customized safety cards to each employee. The front of the card features the group’s twelve mandatory safety prohibitions, making it easy for employees to consult at any time and serving as a constant reminder.

    3. Sign the “Safety Commitment”

All employees signed the “Safety First, Zero Violations, Zero Accidents” safety 100-meter banner, demonstrating their commitment to “zero violations” through concrete actions.

After the ceremony, General Manager Ding Weiwei led the management team and members of the Party branch to conduct a comprehensive on-site safety inspection. The inspection focused on the operational improvements of the five new pieces of equipment and facilities, the condition of on-site fire-fighting equipment, and employee operating procedures.

Take Party building as the guiding principle and lay a solid foundation for safety.
