    Recently, CIMC Container (Group) Co., Ltd. has successfully earned the title of "Guangdong Province Green Supply Chain Management Enterprise" thanks to its systematic practices in green supply chain management and its industry-leading achievements. It is the only enterprise in the container industry's headquarters organization to receive this prestigious honor.


    Recently, CIMC Container (Group) Co., Ltd. has been recognized for its systematic practices in green supply chain management and its industry-leading achievements. Successfully awarded the title of "Guangdong Province Green Supply Chain Management Enterprise," becoming the only company in the container industry's headquarters organization to receive this prestigious honor. This not only recognizes CIMC Containers' long-standing commitment to green development, but also highlights the company's responsibility and dedication in leveraging its supply chain as a key driver to foster collaborative carbon reduction across the entire industry value chain, thereby promoting sustainable growth within the sector.

     

    As a global leader in the container manufacturing industry, CIMC Containers has consistently upheld the corporate spirit of "Striving for Self-Improvement and Pursuing Excellence," continuously expanding its business boundaries while relentlessly advancing green manufacturing and sustainable management. We integrate environmental protection principles into every stage of our operations—research and development, production, and the entire supply chain—through the implementation of Cultivating green suppliers, building green factories, and producing green products Three major green development pathways to drive the overall green transformation of the industrial chain.

     

    In fostering green suppliers, CIMC Containers has established a green management system that covers the entire lifecycle of its suppliers. During the supplier onboarding phase, the company conducts rigorous reviews of supplier qualifications and prioritizes partnerships that have already achieved certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Each year, CIMC organizes at least three green-themed awareness sessions and systematic training programs through diverse channels, including supplier conferences and specialized workshops. These initiatives focus on key areas such as the HSE system, green procurement policies, and product standards, continuously enhancing suppliers' awareness and practical capabilities in green management. In addition, CIMC has innovatively implemented a green supplier certification and management system, evaluating and categorizing suppliers across multiple dimensions—including resources, energy, and environmental impact—and setting clear, phased improvement targets. By 2026, all qualified suppliers are expected to meet Level 3 or higher standards, while by 2029, all suppliers will be elevated to Level 2 or above, with priority suppliers aiming for Level 1 excellence. Through a combination of stringent regulatory frameworks and ongoing capacity-building efforts, CIMC is systematically driving the green transformation and collaborative development of the container industry's supply chain.

    In terms of green factory construction, China International Marine Containers (CIMC) fully leverages the leading role of its group-level enterprise, aligning with a green strategy to encourage its production bases to proactively take responsibility and actively build green factories. The company continuously strengthens compliance operations, effectively manages transformation risks, and integrates resources to cultivate new green growth drivers. Through systematic planning and exemplary leadership, CIMC has successfully established a number of green manufacturing benchmarks, powerfully advancing the industry’s green and low-carbon transformation. As of January 2025, CIMC Container has cumulatively built 11 national-level green factories, 7 provincial-level, and 1 municipal-level facility. All of its production bases have achieved 100% recognition as green factories, demonstrating significant progress in establishing a robust green manufacturing system. 
     

    In terms of producing green products, China International Container Group integrates eco-design principles throughout the entire product lifecycle. By adopting high-strength steel for lightweight design, widely using environmentally friendly materials such as water-based sealants and coatings, and innovatively incorporating new bamboo-wood composite flooring, the company annually achieves carbon sequestration of approximately 723,900 tons, significantly enhancing the environmental performance of its products. In the manufacturing phase, the company drives progress through a dual-engine approach of "technological innovation + lean management," leveraging the "Dragon Rising Plan" to build intelligent production lines. It has also completed the "oil-free, water-driven" process transformation, established the industry's first powder-coating line, and is scaling up low-carbon technologies like photovoltaic power generation and waste heat recovery. These efforts systematically create a green, smart, and highly efficient container manufacturing system, continuously strengthening the company's ability to deliver eco-friendly products.
